FESTIVAL OF CARING AND SHARING – DIWALI FOR ART OF GIVING

Diwali is no doubt one of the most loved festivals in India and also celebrated all over the world. It is the festival of lights and symbolises victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. But where does the true spirit of the festival lie? The true spirit of the festival lies in the joy through caring and sharing, and spreading happiness.

This is the festival that brings everyone together and the joy is being with the loved ones.  Whether far or near, knowingly or unknowingly we share and care for our loved ones. But there are people whom we come in contact with or that are a part of our daily lives who almost always get neglected such as maids, drivers, gardeners, rickshaw pullers, street cleaners, beggars, abandons and others. For them Diwali is just like any other day as they have to work to feed their families. But this Diwali, the community of Art of Giving made an effort to ease their loads and light up their faces by delivering happiness in the form of sweets filled with memories to families who can’t afford.

Who said money can’t buy happiness! Money can certainly buy happiness if it is spent on others selflessly.

Thanks to all the volunteers and ambassadors of Art of Giving.
